Shatila – As part of building interactive capacities, Association Najdeh and the Movement for Peace Organization conducted a multi-phase training workshop that included 13 sessions. The workshop covered essential concepts of gender-based violence, its forms, causes, and contributing factors, specifically against women and girls with disabilities. It also included guidelines on handling violence cases, referral mechanisms, the national and international legal framework, and human rights.

Representatives from local institutions and associations, women’s committees, and the humanitarian support and protection team for women participated in the training. The training was facilitated by Dr. Muntaha Al-Harassi as part of the humanitarian support project, which provides protection services for women and families of Palestinian and Syrian refugees, as well as the host communities in the Shatila and Burj al-Barajneh camps in Lebanon.
