The program aims to enhance the mental, social, educational and learning skills and abilities for children, adolescents and young people of both sexes aged between 6-24 years.

The Psycho social and  Educational support approach was introduced in 1996 by opening centers that care for Social, psychological and educational aspects in some Palestinian camps and gatherings in Lebanon. With the worsening social conditions – economic and deterioration of the quality of education and high drop-out schools ratios, and with the continuation of the war and its impact on children and Palestinian students, emerged importance of starting the implementation of Education and Psychosocial support program, especially during and after the July aggression on Lebanon in 2006, and during and after Nahr El –Bared clashes in 2007. Association Najdeh found that it’s an urgent need to provide psychosocial support for children and women to provide a sense of security and safety for them after suffering from trauma as consequences from wars and conflict.

Psychosocial and  Educational  support program contributes to educational and social behavior improvement and therapy for children, adolescents and young adults of both sexes, students at risk of dropping out of school, students who dropped out from dropouts and those who suffer from educational and learning difficulties.

The 11 Intervention centers of the program receive 2000 children, adolescents and young people annually in daily activities inside and outside the centers. The team of each center  consists Psychologists, socail workers and  supervisors, they conduct activities and monitor children and intervene with them or rotations to specialists when necessary.

The program also works to enable approximately 192 people, from reading and writing skills in literacy groups and promoting cultural and creative aspects.

The daily activities of the program are aimed  to enable children and young people at risk and survivors of sexual violence to overcome the psychological, social and behavioral problems. It also aims to cognitive and social abilities of teenagers and young people and children at risk of social problems.

The program works in addition to the educational aspects to increase awareness among parents about the rights and needs of children, the importance of intervention Psychology – Social with children, as well as the role of parents and community to provide support for children at risk of harm, and work to integrate and involve them in various activities and awareness workshops, and the program targets all the community groups Regardless of nationality.
