As <\/span>part <\/span>of the national <\/span>campaign to <\/span>address <\/span>the stigma associated <\/span>with the emerging <\/span>Corona <\/span>virus called ‘T<\/span>he Most I<\/span>mportant Test’.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>A<\/span>ssociation <\/span>N<\/span>ajdeh<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>w<\/span>orked <\/span>w<\/span>ith <\/span>i<\/span>ts <\/span>m<\/span>ain <\/span>p<\/span>artner <\/span>in the c<\/span>ampaign,<\/span> U<\/span>NICEF,<\/span> t<\/span>o <\/span>i<\/span>ncrease <\/span>c<\/span>ommunity <\/span>a<\/span>wareness <\/span>in a<\/span>ll <\/span>P<\/span>alestinian <\/span>c<\/span>amps <\/span>and g<\/span>atherings. This was achieved\u00a0<\/span>by d<\/span>istributing <\/span>l<\/span>eaflets <\/span>and p<\/span>lacing <\/span>p<\/span>osters <\/span>in neighbourhoods a<\/span>bout <\/span>the i<\/span>mportance <\/span>o<\/span>f <\/span>s<\/span>olidarity <\/span>i<\/span>n <\/span>t<\/span>his <\/span>c<\/span>risis,<\/span>\u00a0r<\/span>ejecting <\/span>the s<\/span>tigma <\/span>t<\/span>hat <\/span>p<\/span>ursues <\/span>t<\/span>he <\/span>i<\/span>nfected <\/span>p<\/span>ersons <\/span>and their f<\/span>amily <\/span>b<\/span>y <\/span>a<\/span>ddressing <\/span>d<\/span>iscrimination <\/span>a<\/span>nd <\/span>a<\/span>ccepting <\/span>t<\/span>he facts.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘The Most I<\/span>mportant T<\/span>est’\u00a0<\/span>campaign <\/span>aims <\/span>to strengthen <\/span>solidarity <\/span>between <\/span>people,\u00a0<\/span>in <\/span>light <\/span>of the <\/span>COVID-<\/span>1<\/span>9 <\/span>pandemic,\u00a0<\/span>and not <\/span>to <\/span>turn <\/span>fear <\/span>into <\/span>rejection<\/span>.<\/span> The <\/span>campaign <\/span>also <\/span>works <\/span>to address <\/span>the stigma <\/span>and discrimination <\/span>that <\/span>the infected\u00a0<\/span>persons\u00a0<\/span>and <\/span>their family <\/span>are <\/span>exposed <\/span>to <\/span>from <\/span>society,<\/span> which <\/span>can <\/span>lead <\/span>to <\/span>increased <\/span>psychological <\/span>stress <\/span>on <\/span>them.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>awareness <\/span>campaign <\/span>is <\/span>based on <\/span>the importance <\/span>of <\/span>taking <\/span>the necessary <\/span>measures <\/span>if <\/span>anyone <\/span>feels <\/span>symptoms of the Corona <\/span>virus <\/span>in <\/span>order <\/span>to <\/span>protect <\/span>themselves <\/span>and <\/span>the community <\/span>from <\/span>the <\/span>risk <\/span>of <\/span>transmission.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1688625788026-da06e781-0c48-6″ include=”10717,10718,10719,10720,10721,10723,10724,10725,10727″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][\/vc_section]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
